About Me

My Story

Ekrah Ndungu is the Founder and CEO of the German Institute of Professional Studies, a Private technical and vocational training institute based in Nairobi, Kenya. She is also the Founder of Ekrah Group Ltd, a private consulting firm.

She is an Essential Business Skills Facilitator/Coach with ABMA Education (UK),a Leadership, Mentorship and Coaching Expert with ALAC (Advanced Leadership Academy)in Cape Town, South Africa. Ekrah also serves as the Organising Secretary for ALAC EAST AFRICA, and is a certified Life Coach with New Skills Academy USA, besides being a careers, confidence, and women empowerment Coach with UDEMY.

Professional ACHIEVEMENT

Education

She holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Entrepreneurship from Kenya Methodist University, and a Diploma in Business Management, also from Kenya Methodist University. She is a fluent speaker of the German language, besides English, Kiswahili, and Kikuyu.

Career

Ekrah currently serves as the Secretary General of Kenya National Association of Private Colleges (KENAPCO), which is the umbrella body of private technical and vocational colleges in Kenya. She also serves as a Member of: the TVET Sector Advisory Board, a member of the Education sector Board at the Kenya Private Sector Alliance (KEPSA),and was recently appointed to the Technical Committee for the establishment of Open Distance & E-learning(ODEL) for TVET institutions in Kenya.”

She is a member of the National Competency Based Education & Training CBET implementation committee, besides serving as a member of Mentors Network Africa, Women In Africa (WIA), Women in Business Kenya, and the Career Guidance Institute (CGI) boards, among others. She is a Business Committee member in a banking self-help group(RCTB),and also serves as the National Chair for Christian Mentorship in schools Kenya in collaboration with Crown College USA with Dr. Rollan Roberts, a Global governments’ advisor.

Passion

Ekrah is a Partner with Cameron Ventor from Cape Town, South Africa focusing on Leadership coaching and over the years has mentored thousands of youth, her mentees being spread across the world with a majority living in Germany, Austria, Netherlands, Dubai, America and her great country Kenya.

She is deeply passionate about youth empowerment in the Africa and has appeared in countless TV and Radio interviews sharing knowledge on matters concerning youth. She has also spoken in numerous local and global platforms and plenaries, most notable among them being a speech she delivered at the World Congress in March 2019, and the Global Business Roundtable on the Future of Education in Africa.

Hobbies

Ekrah is passionate about building confidence in others, helping People where she can, and developing people-skills daily. She is also an avid reader.  She holds an Ambassadorial Code of Honor Award as the National Chairperson and Peace Ambassador for Education in Kenya, supporting the United Nations development goals where she was the 2019 Award Winner of Education Advocacy Award.
